I just bought the PR3/P4 bundle from Steam. My game keeps crashing (APPCRASH) at startup as soon as the profile.cfg (and savegame) was generated. When I delete the profile.cfg (and savegame) I can start the game again. I can't play campaign or freeplay etc, because then the profile.cfg is generated and the game doesn't start anymore! Renaming the profile.cfg as mentioned in the official Kalypso forum doesn't fix it btw.How can I fix this, because the game is pretty much worthless this way!

I deleted the profile.cfg file (and the savegame, because without deleting the savegame, it doesn't start!), the game starts until the file is re-generated after saving a game. Then the game doesn't start anymore.

This is with german language setting. Same behavior after verifying the files or re-install the game.With the game installed in english, it's working flawlessly.

Hi!Well, now you have got me a little bit confused:PSo, I had to read the whole thread again and now got the following questions:- You are refering to PR3, right? (You mentioned PIV as well.)- Did you run the game and Steam as an adminstrator?- What are your graphic settings ingame? Did you made any changes on them? (If yes, you might try different settings)- Is there any change in this behaviour on lower (or lowest) graphic settings?- Do you play in windowed or fullscreen mode?- Are you switching tasks? (via Alt+Tab or similar)?

(Try to avoid that)- What is your system language?- What is your Steam language?- What language is set in the (Steam) properties of your game (via RMB Preferences Language)?- Within the profile.cfg - What language is used? (For German it must be 'deDE' and for English it must be 'enUS')If there are differences between those settings try to set them all to the same language and see if the game works as intended.Best regards,Daan.

Ok, it seems it's working now. All I did was.- deleting the game- deleting the savegame and config files- deleting all registry entries- started the download- paused the download shortly after- switched from english to german language in the games' properties (since I have Steam installed in english)- resumed download and installation and everything is working now!Thanks Daan for your help! It's not common these days, that the developer helps out personally.

Especially when a game isn't that new anymore;).
